I embrace change and am an experienced change agent. By leveraging strong results in change initiatives, I have supported organizational development in the private, non-profit and public sectors. I have worked as a leader, presenter, teacher, university instructor, mentor and coach for individuals of all ages and in all stages of life.
I have a PhD in curriculum, teaching and learning from the University of Calgary and a graduate certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. I have been the recipient of a Province of Alberta Graduate Fellowship, and Alberta Education’s Excellence in Teaching Award. I have also been honored by the Alberta Teachers’ Association for exemplary work in learning and teaching.
I am a Certified Executive Coach, a member of the International Coach Federation and the Calgary Association of Professional Coaches.
I have had wonderful opportunities to live and work in urban, rural and northern Canada including the Northwest Territories, Cape Breton Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. I volunteered for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Yellowknife to create a leisure time catalogue. I worked in a hospital and a school in the northern community of Rae-Edzo, Northwest Territories. I volunteered and taught English at a school in Quebec and was part of a group that built a barn for a community pasture organization in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. My avid love of nature and physical activity leads me to venture year round into the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies.
I actively pursue learning and artistic endeavors. I am an alumna of the Alberta College of Art, the Banff School of Fine Arts, Mount Royal College and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. I am a published author, an artist and a photographer. Aside from the ones that I am in, all of the photographs on this website are my own.
